About me
Steve Combs serves as CELL's Senior Coordinator. Steve makes an impact in Indiana's schools by working with CELL's Early College initiative. He came to CELL with 27 years of experience in secondary education from the Vincennes Community School Corporation. He began his career as a high school social studies teacher and varsity boys basketball coach. He moved into leadership positions as assistant principal at Clark Middle School and then Lincoln High School. From 2010 to 2021, he served as Lincoln’s principal, where he helped launch the school’s Early College program in 2015. In 2014 and 2019 he was recognized as the IASP District 11 Principal of the Year. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education from the University of Evansville and a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University. He also trained at Oakland City University in order to obtain his Indiana Administrator’s License.
