AVID Excel changes the trajectory of experienced multilingual scholars by accelerating language acquisition, developing literacy, and placing them on the path to high school and college preparatory coursework. AVID Emerge is a catalyst for accelerating academic language acquisition, purposefully weaving reading, writing, listening, and speaking into every facet of instructional practice in the high school setting. There will be a panel discussion with Pharr San Juan Alamo educators related to the success of the AVID Excel program and Emerge.
